The 2017 Cherry Blossom Bible Conference was held on April 7-9, 2017 in Temple Hills, Maryland (greater Washington DC area).
Every year, the Temple Hills church hosts a bible conference around the time of the blooming of the flowering ornamental cherry trees in the Washington, DC area (the capital of the United States.) This year it was held on the weekend of April 7-9 and the theme for this conference was “Press On Toward The Mark”, based on Philippians 3:14 (KJV) “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
On Friday night, Br. Peter D. Lausevic spoke about New Heights: What are your short-term and long-term goals? What Are You Aiming For? Young people were encourages to rethink their short and long term goals. On Sabbath Morning, Br. Eli Tenorio identified everyone’s High Calling: Based on Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” The conference was concluded with Br. Lausevic identifying the Higher Ground: Overcoming temptations and every day challenges – practical application
The conference was attended by over 120 believers from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Australia, British Columbia, Washington DC and Maryland, with guest speakers from Australia and British Columbia.
On Sabbath afternoon, April 8, 2017, youth organized a Music Concert as a community outreach, which proved to be a blessing to the church members and visitors. For Sunday, the fellowship continued with a nature walk beside the Great Falls of the Potomac River.
We thank the Lord our God for having so mercifully blessed the conference, and we thank all our friends and visitors that could attend and receive the blessing.
